Booking conditions
All bookings with Cortijo El Cachete are subject to the conditions below. These Booking Conditions form the basis of your contract with us so please read them carefully. Nothing in these Booking Conditions affects your statutory rights.
Cortijo El Cachete is a self-catering holiday rental property, let on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday. The owners, Jim & Mary Cairns, will ensure that the property is let in good condition, as seen in the marketing photographs. They will also provide a 2 hour daily cleaning service during the rental period.
Once a rental date has been agreed (by email or telephone) a deposit of £500 is required within 1 week. This deposit is non-refundable. Payment of the remaining balance is required 8 weeks prior to your arrival date. Receipts can be provided if required.
We do not generally ask for a damage deposit, however in certain circumstances we reserve the right to ask for a damage deposit of £300, which is fully refundable within 1 week of the day of departure. If you are not asked for a damage deposit we request that you inform the owner/property manager of any damage caused during your stay.
We strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance to protect yourself against medical emergencies etc. We shall not be liable for any personal injury, damage to or loss of personal property, except where the injury, damage or loss is caused by our negligence.
Check in is available after 1600 on the day of arrival. On arrival guests will be welcomed by the owner/property manager. Arrival is a busy time at the end of a long journey but we ask that the lead guest spare us 30 minutes to be shown around the property and pay attention to key points, such as water usage. Cortijo El Cachete is an eco property so there are a few important points to cover. We will also supply a manual covering key information and a mobile phone number for help during your holiday.
Check out is no later than 1100 on the day of departure. There is no need to strip the beds, but guests are asked to leave the property tidy and point out any breakages or losses. The owner/property manager will be present for any final comments and to bid you farewell.
We have worked hard to ensure Cortijo El Cachete is a safe, comfortable and attractive place to stay. If guests have any suggestions for improvements, or specific complaints, they are encouraged to speak to the property manager during the holiday. There is also a guest book for your comments.
